Tsumugu is located in Futami Town, Iyo City, Ehime, which is rich in nature with mountains and the sea. We make obi bags in a room of our house as a studio. It is only 200 steps to the sea on foot. We have a small guest house and we have 250 guests a year. Obi bags and accessories are popular as souvenirs for guests.
We show our customers the condition of the obi they bring to our store and make suggestions on how to make the best use of the design and pattern according to their wishes. The customer waits for 30 to 45 days to see how it will turn out.
For customers who are too far away to visit our store, please call or e-mail us first to let us know what kind of obi you would like to make. After that, we will show you the obi via LINE or Zoom, etc., and you will be able to see the obi in person.

STEP 1 Make an appointment

STEP 2 Meeting
A 60-minute meeting will be held at our studio. (By appointment only)
Please bring your obi. We will listen to your wishes and propose a design using the obi’s pattern.
- We will pick you up at JR Iyo-Kaminada station.
- You can get a feel for the shape and size by viewing our reference pieces.
- Online meetings are also available. (LINE, Zoom, etc.)
STEP 3 Price Estimate
Estimates and delivery dates will be provided at the time of meeting. Estimated delivery time is approximately 30-45 days. You can choose between store pickup or home delivery.
STEP 4 Production
The fabric is carefully untied, dried in the sun, interlining is attached, cut to make the most of the pattern, and carefully sewn one by one.
STEP 5 Payment
Payment should be made by bank transfer. (Bank transfer fees are to be paid by the customer.)
Customers living nearby can also pay in cash at the time of product delivery.
STEP 6 Delivery of products
You can choose to pick up your order at the store or have it delivered to your door.
For home delivery, shipping costs will be provided at the time of quotation. 15,000 yen or more orders will be shipped free of charge nationwide.
If you need leftover cloths, we will include them in the package.
After-sales service
In case of sewing problems, we offer a 6-month warranty for free repair.
Obi fabrics with complex woven or embroidered patterns are less resistant to friction than leather products or canvas because of the floating threads. Please use them carefully and avoid friction. Damage to the fabric itself due to friction cannot be repaired.
Shipping costs will be charged to the customer on delivery.
