FAQ

FAQ

Q
Should I dry clean the obi that I brought in?
A

Yes, we recommend cleaning if you are concerned.
Washing obi in water will fade the color, so we do not recommend washing at home.
At our store, after drying in the sun, we will carefully select and produce a clean part of the obi as it is.

Q
Should I untie the obi?
A

It is fine as it is. If you have untied it, we can handle it as well.

Q
Can you make bags from kimonos and clothes?
A

Even thin cloth can be made into a bag by attaching an inner lining and reinforcing it.
Any cloth that can be sewed can be used.

Q
How many days does it take for production?
A

It takes 30-45 days. This will vary depending on the availability of reservations.
We will provide you with an approximate expected days at the time of quotation.

Q
Can I wash the finished bag?
A

The finished obi bag cannot be washed in water. Washing in water may cause color fading, wrinkling, or loss of shape.
We recommend applying a waterproofing spray or having a dry cleaner apply a water repellent treatment before use.

Q
How much does a custom order cost?
